Oil Change

Piece of advice: Don't wait too long in between oil changes. Everything runs more smoothly.

I am seeing providence again. It's like a Magic Eye photo - it's always there, you just have to be looking in the right way. It's an illusion yes, but a valuable one. One that makes you smile. The smile is real.

An economy of emotion is a strange thing. The most illogical seeming procedure is often the one that makes the most sense. I think there is a war going on. We want to stop the killing, the crying, so, we kill. To make room for the not-killing. We attack sadness, to make room for not-sadness.

We do A, to achieve B. We should just B. We should just be. Eh?

It's not always this simple, but it so often is. Look for it, don't forget it. Being makes room for more of that being, whatever it happens to be. When it's hard to be something that feels good, you have to work harder to do it, but that's the way out: When you need rest, don't furiously dig yourself a grave to sleep in, just... rest. Rest, and get up again and go.

"Do not distress yourself with dark imaginings/Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness."

Imagine beautifully. For something so unreal, there is nothing more important. Soothe your mind, your imagining, smooth it, to always take you down the road that leads to where you'd like to be. That road is the one whose qualities reflect the destination you are imagining. Not only is it the road, in many ways, it also is the destination itself.

Je t'aime, mon frère, and everyone who reminds me of this.
